Based in Bedfordshire, UK, Jonathan Raven specialises in health and performance nutrition, Strength and Conditioning coaching, personal training and online programming for individuals or teams.

NUTRITIONAL COACHING

The field of nutrition is often either overcomplicated to confuse consumers or oversimplifies what is a complex topic. Whilst energy balance and macronutrients are important, there’s a lot more to be aware of.

Our bodies need certain nutrients to function properly so a strong understanding of biochemistry and epigenetics is important to help people recognise exactly what it is they require, and why.

With several years of experience in the field, I have served a range of people from those focussing on weight management and general health to performance-based nutrition for international athletes competing on the world stage.

Rather than simply providing a one-size-fits-all diet plan or focussing on quick 6-week crash diets, I will take the time to show you strategies relevant to your preferences, enabling sustainable and safe changes resulting in a longer, healthier life.

STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING & PERSONAL TRAINING

With several years of experience in the fitness industry, I have coached both teams and individuals ranging from normal gym-goers looking to build better strength and fitness for an improved standard of life, to World Championship level athletes aiming to compete at their peak.

I currently hold Level 4 Strength & Conditioning, Level 3 Personal Training, British Weightlifting (Olympic Weightlifting) and CrossFit Level 2 coaching qualifications, making me a well-rounded and knowledgeable coach.

Delivered either in person or online via a specifically designed app, I write bespoke programmes tailored to my clients’ requirements which are designed to be challenging, fun and rewarding to ensure maximum engagement, adherence and progress.

Whether you’re new to the world of fitness, a seasoned power lifter, Olympic lifter, runner, boxer or ice skater, improving your strength and conditioning in ways specific to the needs of your life or sport will always be a benefit.

ONLINE PROGRAMMING/
COACHING

Delivered entirely online via a specifically designed app, I write bespoke programmes designed to optimise my clients’ training. The app includes video demonstrations, note taking and ‘benchmark’ features to keep track of all necessary data. An upload feature allows clients to attach videos of themselves performing specific lifts so individual feedback can be given.

I currently have a wide variety of online clients ranging from regular gym users, Olympic lifters, rugby players, CrossFit coaches and athletes, Hyrox athletes and Team England Kettlebell Sport members, who are all making great progress.
